IIRC, one of my fellow Mongols brough Khumis to Pennsic a few years
back.....  Another Mongol friend of mine had a contact for getting mare's
milk from a supplier.. If memory serves, it came in powder form, and was
used for emergency feedings on breeding farms.  I'll send him a message and
see if he has the contact info.   I've done the buttered tea, even brought a
big container of it to a couple of events in the past...  I found out that
just like one of my source books described it, it's an acquired taste.....
but it does satisfy thirst and hunger at the same time.
