Around here (northeastern Ohio) you find frozen sour, sweet and Bing
cherries. The canned ones are water or light syrup pack for sour and Queen
Anne, light or heavy syrup for sweet or Bings, and sour pie filling glop. I
have only rarely seen sweet or Bing glop. Most of the produce stores
around here will also sell buckets of pitted sour cherries in season for home
canning and freezing. That's usually late June or early July.
