Boy! We have gotten off base here!! If any one here
have further questions or comments please write to me
off list, or go to The_Curia at yahoogroups.com, it is a
great source of information with several mundane
clergy and religious re-enactors!

Now the question, I believe some one already answered
it, but just in case,
Celibacy means unmarried.(and in the proper context
also without sexual relations)
Chastity is being true to your marital status in life,
ie, faithful to your marriage vows, religious vows,
etc... for the person who is Celibate(that is
unmarried) chastity means no sex. For the person who
is married chastity means faithful sexual relationship
with your spouse.

When I was a vowed Celibate, I was chaste when I
remained faithful to my Celibate vow.
Now that I'm not a vowed Celibate, I am chaste when,
because I do not have a spouse, I avoid sexual
contact.

My parents are not Celibate, but they are Chaste, yea,
though Viagra is used on a regular basis ;)

I know when I first joined there were other
'clerical' personas that were definately in it for the
spoof and fun, though they were both either married
or lercherously heterosexual! For many in the area I
was in I think I was the first and only real serious
clerical persona they ran across!
