[Sca-cooks] OT: Goodbye to Murphy

There have been several threads about cats.  Tonight I said good bye
to Murphy, my friend of 17 years.  My son was one and a half, but he
remembers picking out the kitten.  Murphy, what ever he can get into,
he will get into.

Murphy has been failing since summer and we talked about putting him
down, but I couldn't bring myself to do it as long as he was stable
and reasonably happy.  When I got home from work tonight he was
laying on his blanket and crying, hardly able to lift his head. I
took him to the vet hospital and they helped him on his way.

He had used up more than his share of nine lives over the years, and
I will miss him.
