If you have one near you, I also highly recommend the HomeGoods chain, or
the housewares section at the back of your local TJ Maxx (both owned by the
same chain).  We've picked up some wonderful finds there - 'pewter' goblets
for $2.99, real metal 'charger' plates for $4.99, a *very* ornate sterling
silver bowl for $9.99.
