     Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton and others I can't recall right now.
They find a downed plane with lots of money in it, probably from a drug
deal, and decide to keep it.  Or as Chaucer would put it, three men meet
Death under a tree.  The Pardoner's Tale.  I have no idea if that's where
the screenwriter actually got it, but there's a lot of other details that
match (to go into them might prove to be spoilers).
