    I use ASL in my work  -- learned it years ago for deaf adolescents in my
care.   Now we use it as a secondary language for speech impaired
developmental adults/children.   They can hear & understand spoken English,
but their own abilities at speech are limited, so ASL works for their mouths
that don't.
