[Sca-cooks] horsemeat

I know for certain that there is a breed of horse in Belgium that is raised
traditionally for meat, but I do not know if this dates back to medieval
times. And I have ran into people in the past who felt that horse in general
was less tough than beef, but I am again not precisely sure of the context.
I had a friend in Washington state who worked as a truck driver for a firm
that shipped horsemeat to Canada and then to Europe, and meat buyers are
known about generally in the horse community here in Arizona also. My friend
also raised horses. Eating horse meat (or cat) is against my personal
religion.
