| to Murphy, my friend of 17 years.  My son was one and a half, but he
| remembers picking out the kitten.  Murphy, what ever he can get into,
| he will get into.

| Murphy has been failing since summer and we talked about putting him
| down, but I couldn't bring myself to do it as long as he was stable
| and reasonably happy.  When I got home from work tonight he was
| laying on his blanket and crying, hardly able to lift his head. I
| took him to the vet hospital and they helped him on his way.

| He had used up more than his share of nine lives over the years, and
| I will miss him.
