My deepest sympathies to your loss. We frequently love our
animals more than we love humans because they give their
love fully and without pretense. The joy they feel is the
joy of life we wish we could regain. An animal couldn't
care less about what you look like, if you gained weight,
if you forget their birthday, or even if you abuse them.
They just know the joy of when you pay attention to them.

For all the work, expense, mess and irritation animals frequently
cause they more than make up for it in the happiness they
bring. I know my two tube rats cause me no end of grief, but
they are often the only laugh I have in troubled times.

When I lost my beloved Bernie the lady who would take care
of him when I was away told me that loved animals don't leave
the Earth for long. Some day I'll see another puppy and he
will look at me and wink and I'll realize that it's Bernie
come back to visit again.

Miss Murphy and love him forever and then give that love to
another deserving spirit.
