Probably quite a few.  The Muscovy Company open trade with Russia in 1555
and by 1561 had opened trade from Moscow to Persia.  They funded Henry
Hudson's explorations and began the North Atlantic whaling industry.  The
lost their Russian monopoly in 1698 and ceased operations in 1917.
