You would be surprised at how many of the seniors are still on the active
roles.

Is it a requirement in ALL kingdoms that the Fighters and Officers have to
be members? You can't fight without the authorizations and you need the
membership card to get authorized?
I agree that the membership is not that much and the cap keeps it Family
friendly, but maybe we need to drop the family cap. (For arguements sake) I
recall in the BoD's letter that there were more members but more Family than
sustaining. I am sure this has to do with SCA members marrying each other
and then saving $25 a year on membership, Two kids later you reach the $60
cap. But that doesn't help pay the organizational bills.

Or Perhaps the CA, and TI should both be extra's, there are times when TI
has very little I am interested in an then at times the whole book is
fascinating, (I know submit articles!) Still making these optional will cut
down on the cost of publication, because only those that want them will be
published.

Perhaps also the Kingdom Publications should be the responsibilities of the
Kingdom in question. I know that all kingdoms struggle with this fund but I
am sure that there are alternatives, such as Electronic Newsletters, the
kingdoms could charge say $12 a year to get a password to read the Kingdom
newsletter at the Kingdom website. This way the monthly website cost is
covered an those who insist on paper copies, who would pay another rate say
$15, Can get there's mailed to them.

Just some thoughts
