Oh heavens yes- she might read the Wife of Bath's Tale and learn what
Women Really Want- and think it is a good thing! Or be disturbed at
Patient Griselde (what a dustmop!) or even get the idea from the
Miller's Tale or the Merchant's Tale that a young girl badly married
should have a young lover, or that these young girls should climb pear
trees where certain young men await, and... WELL! Maybe they ought to be
upset! Heavens! What went on in that tree! Scandalous!

Forgive me- I'm doing some work on the Merchant's Tale and on allegory
etc and trying to write some poetry, and all that's coming out of me
right now is Middle English porn...

Could be worse. Could be Boccaccio.
