Unfortunately, Snopes doesn't supply us with much in the way of
documentation; just the name of some woman who says the story is
true. I don't doubt that the chips were fried as described, I only
question the alleged angry motive, since we seem a little shy on
genuine contemporary or eyewitness accounts. As a result, the fact
that we seem not to know, absolutely, for sure, _and_ the fact that
common sense could as easily have been the motive, I suspect that the
story, in total detail, _might_ not be true.
