In my years in playing in this group I have attended many 12th nights. To me 12th Night has always been one of my favorite events. You see everyone in their best garb, courts are visually spectaccular, most people come to talk of their holidays, and the up coming years plan. We all live in a pretty busy barony were " you can't seem to swing a cat without hitting a peer" ( famous quote here:) I saw a lot of peers in Bridge Saturday, Countess Mistress Morgan Duval taking off her gown and cornet to work in the kitchen with out missing a beat when asked. Offering to take me to BJ's store when someone asked me to pick up somethings that was needed last minute. Master Jorum helping move tables and organize things the way the autocrate of the event planned. Mistress,Baroness Coltilde von der Insel explaining to me while hugging me and wiping tears from me that the poor showing of the A&S works from the East was not a reflection on me as the A&S officer of this Barony but of the populace themselves. I provided the tools, tables and judges, and that is all I could do. Baron Ulric von der Insel showing up to the event right after his guard duty to make sure Rich was ok and the event was running well. Mistress Rowen taking time from her husband, to be a judge on leatherwork piece. (her husband, Lord Geoffry Dwggns was made a Laurel that day) Countess, Mistress Catlin after doing the childrens activities found time to help out with some set up too. The one thing that does stick out in my mind is this, I had to leave the site to pick up my children at their grandmother's (which did not allow me to stay for feast) Puck came home around 1:30ish ( I think) moving very slowly from the events of the day. When I asked him if the site was secured and everything was done, he replied that Baroness, Mistress Elspeth had sent him home. That Lord Ralph and Herself would finish the kitchen. They had it under control and thought it best he come home. Amazing, the woman has her Laurel in cooking and doesnot perceive herself above doing dishes. Their we others who live here in the Barony who were amazing, Lady Elisabeth Borden, who when I said I needed her to help me with something, we both ran hand in hand in the kitchen to do what needed to be done.( I smell almonds still) Lady Isabue, Lady Auriana, still helping with the feast when their dayboard was done. Lady Jael who seemed to be playing secreatary for my husband and me randomly through out the day. Lady Deidra and Lord Cormac after having their first full day away from their son, grabed garb off of Paige's rack and jumped head first into the kitchen. ( Lee, I don't know about you, but I don't want to look at anymore veal:) I saw alot of peers on Saturday. I saw alot of people flashing "badges" and "cookies" around and expalining "who they were" I also saw some real peers too. The ones who live right here at home. The East Kingdom is full of great talent, our Barony, I beleive, is an exception, we have great talent and great peers. Thank you to everyone for reminding me why I still play this game. And to Puck, you put on a great event, you worked hard and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Thank you for making this event happen.

In Service,

Lady Marion
