I had expected Mem to post all the details about
Cookscon this past weekend but the list has been
quiet about that. So here are some of my impressions and
memories.

It seems to be a confirmed fact that I appear much larger,
older and more stuffy in email than in real life. For the
record I'm 5'11", not grey, stocky but not fat, and look
in my early-mid 30's. My voice is kind of husky and not
deep. So, all the rest of you folk who haven't met me will
not be disappointed when you expect to see some big guy with
a grey beard and booming voice. I'm also a bit funnier in
real life than online.

Cindy Renfrow is MUCH smaller than I expected.
Nanna is MUCH quieter.

I'm not meant to be around sugarplate.

I never knew that discussing table settings could be so interesting
or so much fun.

Icelandic food is stinky.

DON'T ask Gunthar to dance and then tell him that one part is
kind of like "Galumph". He gets a bit enthusiastic.

I really regret not being able to try the "Medieval versions of
Roman feast" being served on Sunday. It sounded wonderful.

Saturday's German feast was very good an far too much food!

Poison Pen Press is a very dangerous merchant and should be banned.
(But only after I'm done shopping.)

I really wish I could have spent the whole weekend there and enjoyed
myself thoroughly!

All honor and respect goes to Mem. Morman for her dedication and
work in making this such a success.

Yers,

Gunthar
