The solution doesn't have to be that strong.  One part
bleach to ten
parts
water works as a sanitizer without harming clothes

Actually we had more of a problem with the actual
bleach bottles themselves, they leaked.  You can use
quaternary ammonia (Quats)sanitizers, but they are
expensive, they are BLUE (though I've never had them
STAIN just look silly until washed), and they actually
have a more limited pathogen killing effect (bleach
kills more).  However they also do not have to be used
in hot water and it requires less time in the solution
to achieve a sanitizing effect (I want to say 15
seconds but I'd have to look it up).  They are
available at most Smart and Final stores (a western
chain at least dunno where else) and you should be
able to find them at any restaurant supply that
carries cleaning supplies.
