[Sca-cooks] "buffet" vs "collation"

Rather than "buffet", how about the word "collation"?

Per the OED, a collation is a light meal taken between regular meals.
The word dates to the 13th Century, with a monastic meaning.

By the 18thC, the term "collation" meant eating and dancing, and a good
time had by all. I don't think it involved a "sit down" service, but I
could be wrong on that point.
