Another gem from Fons Grewe.

In "La singolare dottrina di M. Domenico" (1593)

There is a section listing daily menus for ordinary meals for the
entire year 1546, beginning with March 10th.  ("anar a" page 65)  I
don't read Italian, but many of the words are recognizable.

The menu for July 14th (a Wednesday) is:

ANTIPASTI
melloni, beccafichi con pan'unto, crostate di piccioni, schiena di
vitella fredda, visciole, & limoni trinciati

ALLESO
vitella seccaticcia, pollanche grosse stufate, salami, & savore di
verzure

FRUTTE
torta bianca, pere, persiche in vino, citroni in aceto, & finocchio
