I've been sitting on this for a while, I'm sure that some of her friends
from Storvik had heard it from her but anyway....

I called Lady Ayisha of Storvik on Mother's Day, and she told me that she
had just finished a photo shoot for the cover of her book.  She told me it
would be published later.

Two days ago, my Lady was on Random House's online catalog when she found
the entry for the book.


"Menu for Life African Americans Get Healthy, Eat Well, Lose Weight and Live
Beautifully"  The book comes out in January of 2003.  For those of you that
ever attended one of Lady Ayisha's fighter practices and feedbag nights, I'm
pretty sure you'll recognize some of the recipes she has in there.

And for those of us out there that have been finding our armor a bit
snug.....  Ayisha and I have both been cooking this way.  Ayisha's armor is
now too big for her....and I can actually fit in mine again without the use
of industrial equipment and sucking in my gut!

She's also told me that she's planning a follow up detailing the low
cholesterol and low calorie alternatives she found while doing period recipe
research.

I'll shut up with the plug now.
