We want to get away from burning any fuel at all. Period, schmeriod - we are
going to battery operated 'candle' lanterns for a softer, more period light.
We want to light for noshing and conversing, not task lighting for reading
and needle work. We are a fairly quiet bard and family oriented camp and
don't need 'big city lights' to sit around and schmooze. Task lighting over
the food buffet and in the kitchen tent are different, and also in the
smaller socializing tent [where we will probably have chess, backgammon,
mancala and the like available]and will probably be the battery operated
coleman lanterns.

the quote starts here:
something you might consider for replacing th e tiki torches, there is a
propane torch that can use citronella fuel , nice light and chases bugs
too. They come with about a six foot pole and a holder tha hides the propane
tank. They cost about $15 each, we bought them for the Tavern and camp and
are really pleased. In non buggy weather you can use regualr propane tanks.
