I dunno.  At the next-to-last Northshield Coronet Tourney
(in Duluth) there was an A&S requirement -- I think both
contestant and consort were to bring an item.  The items
were far from "minimum" -- they were very fine.  It provided
those of us who don't bother to watch the fighting an
introduction to the contestants.
