Sort of. Type IV delayed hypersensitivty is mediated by histamine.It's not
an "inappropriate" response, because your body SHOULD release histamine when
presented with the immunological trigger. The "inappropriate" step is the
generation of the trigger (an IgE antibody) to an otherwise harmless
chemical compound.
