[Sca-cooks] OT:Scooby Doo and such

IIRC, it was not Hanna and Barbera that were responsible for the animation
on Scooby doo, it was Iwao Takamoto...
He also did a number of spinoffs such as the rather shortlived Harlem
Globetrotters cartoon.
The execreble animation is actually derived from the late sixty's anime
techniques, with the lower refresh rate, flat palette, etc.
but that said, these techniques reached their nadir with the scooby era
shows.

IMHO the only watchable scooby do's are first season, and the second
season episodes where there were guest stars, such as Don Knotts, and
Phyllis Diller.
After the comedy well ran dry they began rehashing old stuff endlessly.
and anything with Scrappy Doo, or any other talking animals is the
equivalent of rootcanal without novacaine.

And lets count the Scooby Doo imitators and spinoffs:
Jabberjaw
Josie and the Pussy Cats
Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space
Speed Buggy
The Harlem Globetrotters
Go GO Globetrotters
the Super Globetrotters (if you tought scooby was bad... )
the Clue Club
FangFace
The Funky Phantom
Scooby's All-Star Laff-A-Lympics
A Pup Named Scooby-Doo
The Three Robonic Stooges
Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch
Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels
Mister T

There are plenty more, I am sure.
