Don't worry Misha. I'm too old for Band Camp. I remember too well. 'Daily
Doubles' aren't only for football. And we had to carry instruments!

In my salad days*, if it was a woodwind, I played it, though I mostly
handled oboe/bassoon in wind ensemble, and saxophone in the jazz ensemble.
For marching, flute or bells. Once learned English Horn in six weeks- for a
contest piece (they'd ordered the music- $$$$- without checking the
instrumentation.).

A Certain Person I know (who is at Coronet Investiture, so I can get away
with it) played tri-toms in marching band, and tymp in wind ensemble.
*sigh* I had a terrible crush on our tri-tom player my junior year. Soft
spot in my head for percussionists, I suppose...
