    Well, there IS this ol' southern practice of going fishing, getting
quite loaded, and allowing the mosquitoes to land and drink their fill.
Given that with enough alcohol, you don't really feel them bite, you can
watch them load up and get pretty loaded themselves. When they're good n'
bloated, you carefully pick them off (they don't mind, they're drunk
mosquitoes), and put them in a jar to use as bait the next day.
    Note this only works with the big marsh mosquitoes, the ones that can
pick up and fly away with small children . . .
