No, it isn't really a spork, but it saves typing time :-)

Taking a wild guess, it could be for eating sweetmeats without
getting one's fingers sticky... it's rather small -  the spoon bowl
is small and flat - and the fork is rather short...

I've sent the picture for estimates to the two metalworkers
recommended by folks on the list who contacted me.

BTW, i am phenomenally behind on reading the list, since going on
vacation - i'm finally up to reading 6/13 digests, but it may be a
while before i catch up to the digest this message will appear in...
