This morning, while stumbling around, waking up, I
fired up the coffee pot, as usual, then went to fill
up my coffee cup. In the process, Bonzer was
assaulting my lap, and I forgot to empty out the last
of last night's bedtime apple cider, maybe a good
swallow, so I discovered my coffee was apple cider
flavored.

Folks, it was really good ;-) The cider worked to take
the sharp edge off the coffee's bitterness, without
making it as nasty sweet as sugar does, and added a
mouthfilling dimension, a roundness of flavor, as Paul
Prudhomme would have it, that was very pleasant.

Since Margali would be most upset if I loaned you
Bonzer (I would too- I've got a recipe for him, next
time he helps me cook), y'all might try a dollop of
cider in your coffee- cheap, easy, and very tasty.
