The Mistress Maire explained about my earlier post:
> So the "brine shrimp" part of the shrimp scampi's probably just a name
added to regular ole shrimp scampi. She's actually just moaning about the
general non-periodness of the menus--stroganoff, shrimp scampi, and french
onion soup not exactly being period.....There are some -uhm- areas/people
resistant to more period ideas, or just plain not *aware* of all the
alternatives out in the big, wide world.....<

I think what really twists my bloomers, is that this is their 25th
Anniversary!! and they're having this "stuff" {Maire, did you see WHO is
cooking?!} and I have knowledge that a Cooking Guild resides within the
Barony, so where ARE they to push for more authenticity??!! I've been
{snottily} told that the Guild members "don't cook feasts." Maybe they
are just a private club of back patters.

Okay Constance, I'm being snotty. Please set the record straight about
Guild & it's members.
