best I ever had in this country was up in the Haight/Ashbury district, west
side of the street going towards Golden Gate park , block before the Haight
theather (other side of street) and nearly across from Gardo's Cider Shop.
--------

This place sounds like it might be (have been?) interesting. Do they
sell different types of hard cider?

--------
Older English lady owned the place (cousre at that time anyone over about
thirty was "older"). She served them in newspaper cone with malt vinigar
still remember the tatse and that kids was oh some thirty three or thirty
five years ago:)
-------

Nice and unpretentious. Without the fake, plastic imitation
British "atmosphere". Sorry, I just find it irritating to
see things like "homemade BBQ sauce". Then read an ingredients
list which looks like it came from a chemical refinery. While
Star-Trek like replicators may be far in the future, some places
seem to be trying to create them now.
