[Sca-cooks] Finally!!!! OT, OOP

Dearest Friends,
It has finally happened....I finally have a job offer!!!  It's not all that
I would have wanted...the commute is awful (1 1/2 hours or more), but at
least I don't have to deal with the Wilson Bridge and northern Virginia.  It
is a contract position, which means that, in a year, I may be out of work
again...and each time this happens, my time between jobs seems to be
increasing...though the contractor says they'll try to find me something.
The pay is substantially less than my last job, but more than my minimum.
On the other hand...the benefits are incredible!  4 weeks vacation to start,
401k fully vested at the start, etc.  I'll be working for a contracting firm
doing an HR contract for the Baltimore City Schools...so I guess I'll be
getting a lot more familiar with Baltimore...

Thanks again for all of your support and concern...your humor and good will
have gone a long way toward helping me sustain good spirits while I went
through all of this.
