Wow!

I planted one tomato, 1 lavender, 4 parsley plants, 4 kale plants, 2
strawberry plants, and a flat of cutting lettuce.

Pretty good for my one sunny windowsill...

I'm growing the cutting lettuce from seed, but I bought the other plants
at Greenmarket, from various farmers (including Project New Leaf, in the
Bronx, where they turned erstwhile vacant lots into an herb nursery). I
don't get enough sun early in the year, and, when I tried to grow plants
from seed (as I had where I used to live - the place with the full
Southern exposure) they came along scrawny and leggy. With any luck,
these should grow well.
