Apple dumplings are period ( was Re: [Sca-cooks] OT-apple dumpling question)

I'm serving fettucine alfredo for dinner and apple dumplings for dessert.
I'm taking a shortcut with the pastry for the dumplings but I'm making the
alfredo sauce myself - I'm much better at cooking than baking.......
