Snake was eaten by the Aztecs, in Mexico and Guatemala. Still today you
can eat snakes in several restaurangs specialized in Pre-Columbian
cookery. The most common way to eat the snake is on a soup or smoked, as
we normal eat eels.
I never tried snake but my Mexican friends say its very similar in
flavour to poultry. ??
