Thorbjorn, not going after your message specifically, just the last last one to show up. I've grown up in Middleford, Ansteorra. And just to give a small clue to my opinion, we have Ft. Hood, Texas. We get a high turn over rate of young GIs that have been around the world. As long as they play the correct time periods, are nice to people, and try to educate others about themselves, then we are doing what the basic idea of the SCA is. We are not doing wars against other cultures like our ancestors, we are to learn from our mistakes and keep old ideas like sewing by hand, trying cooking recipes, making swords, making mead and fruit wines alive for the time when the mundanes don't learn from the lessons of the past. When my finances get better I plan to have sake being made next to mead, a cotehardie next to a bellydancers, and pasta next to couscous. I love the SCA for what we all can be and who we want to be, and not having some royal twit looking down on some peasant woman. Please everyone remember the reason why we started this. Aurore

Drake to use a American in Japan reference, the Baseball players who go over
to play there are refered to a Gajin (actually all foreigners are) but it is
NOT permitted for a Gajin to break any Japanese baseball records. They will
walk them or not play them when they come close to the Sacred Japanese
records. If that is not racist, then what is?
