I think this was so named because it
came out of "An Old Icelandic Medical Miscellany"
which is what the article was entitled back
in 1931. Once titled that way, the name has
stuck. It's better than referring to it as
"that chicken dish... you know the one... from
that manuscript... it's in that collection
by that Duke... the law professor one..."
Nanna discussed the lack of poultry in Iceland
in her talk at CooksCon in January. The proceedings
should be out in June according to MEM by the way.
