I use the portable fire bailey made by Brass Axe and Rose. Mine uses a
tripod made of nice thick iron stock, and the bailey itself is made from a
converted washing machine tub.  It hangs from the tripod legs via little
snippets of chain.  There is a hook/chain at the top of the tripod to hang
a pot from.  It meets all the "off the ground" requirements, and I've never
had much problem with it (other than finding wood small enough to fit inside).

PS-- that pressure cooker incident was back at the end of March. It taught
me to not be too cocky when around pressure cookers (it LOOKED like it was
depressurized, really).
