I'm not Mercedes, but here's one....

Serves about 4, the way I eat it ;-)

1/2cup butter
2 c. heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

 Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium low
heat. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes, then add
garlic and cheese and whisk quickly, heating through.

The name of the game is to not let it get any hotter
than it needs to to melt the ingredients enough to
blend, and stir or whisk fairly quickly while you're
blending....
