I live mundanely in tampa florida in my search for a place that
sells Indian saris.. I found this tiny grocery store in a bad
part of town.... they have many traditional Indian spices.

In pittsburgh I found many stores in the 'strip district' that
were ethnic related.. some carried more than one kind of
groceries. One carried oriental stuff and on a small corner had
all sorts of Badia spices and cuban stuff.. another carried
nothing but middle eastern.
I suspsect that many larger cities are the same. One way I find
things is to ask...
like the lady in the 7-11 I just up and asked if by any chance
she knew of a place in tampa to buy sari's. She gave me the
grocer's name. Same thing in pittsburgh.. it is how i found this
place by Magee Women's Hospital... one has to climb over boxes to
get tothe clothiing in back ..but spices are sold by weight not
in prepacked bags and are very, very fresh.. owner told me he
buys by the amount he sells and tosses if htey do not sell after
two months...

: I'll take a look, thanks: but I'd have to visit a much

: does mean paying postage, bu it's far easier for me.

: Are there other names for the stuff in other
