Actually, the thing we're proudest about was that he
was the Senate Minority Leader for so many years ;-)
As such, he was able to help with a number of farming
reforms, farming being a lifelong interest of his. I
have a couple of pix of him with Roosevelt,- he helped
the democrats quite a bit with some of their
Depression reforms.

Suspect it's a good thing he and Willkie didn't win-
neither of them survived the term they were running
for....
