Auroch is a general term which has been applied to both Bos primigenius (the
ursus which is related to the Texas longhorn) and Bison bonasus (the wisent
or European bison).  In English, it is most commonly associated with Bos
primigenius, but using it for either the ursus or wisent is correct.
