[Sca-cooks] Spice - Organic vs. non-organic

When you are purchasing spices, what is your preference, organic vs.
non-organic?

Considering all the chemical crap out there vs. 100's of years ago, is
organic more period or just a modern construct?

Are many cooks out there willing to pay more for organic spices? or does it
really matter?
