Well, while there is the attitude on occasion that "All peerages are
equal, the Knights being more equal than most", it's not always the case.

Indeed, based on my OP research, (I've been doing a research project for
the last two years into the non-royal peerages within the SCA, the times to
gain said peerage from initial AoA, percentages of peerage awards given,
etc.) that based on the OP's of 15 of the 16(soon to be 17) kingdoms I have
in my database. (Atenveldt is the only kingdom I do not have information
on, despite requests made to their heralds. I have not started keeping
info on Lochac until they're "offically" a kingdom.)

Laurels make up the largest percentage of Peerage-level awards, followed
by nearly equal numbers of Knights and Pelicans. Indeed, West, Caid,
Meridies, Artemisia, and Drachemwald are the only kingdoms that *don't* have
a higher number of Laurels. (West, Caid, and Artemisia are Pelican-heavy,
Meridies and Drachemwald are Knight-heavy)

In Atlantia, Pelicans make up 3.8% of the awards listed on that
kingdom's OP, Laurels make up 5.16% of the awards, and KSCA/MSCA are 4.05%

As for Midrealm, Pelicans are 2.11%, Laurels are 3.8%, and KSCA/MSCA are
2.48%
