If burdock = dock, then the leaves are supposed to be a counteractant to the
stinging nettle....

I heard that one conservancy group had a lot of volunteers clear out a big
patch of burdock, which is a very invasive weed, and then sold about 200
pounds of it to an organic food store as absolutely organic, no fertilizer or
weedkiller organic veg.  Which is true, since they don't use any of that
stuff on the land they own.
