The Ancients (at least the Ancient Egyptians) had access to the mucilaginous
sap of the mallows (genus Malva) which is the basis of all marshmallow
technology.  A cursory examination of your evidence suggests that it is a
badly mangled retelling of the defeat of Set by Horus.
