actually. it is relaevent.... you want to free up burners as fast as
possible? right?
so boil the water.. add the rice and stir.. and then take it off to a corner
where it wont get kicked over.
that frees your limited kitchen time up for some other dish........without
having to re heat rice (which is icky!)
better COLD rice than re-heated rice

obviously you are not going to be baking bread if your kitchen time is
limited....
most of the meats can be pre-cooked. or mostly cooked. and just finsih
cooking them or heating them on site.
