I should point out that niccolo isn't stepping directly on my toes, and
that if you were, I coulnd't feel it anyway <grin>

That said, I can't help feeling that in general, we are demanding of a lot
for not much money, all things considered.

Chaffing at $8 for a feast, even poorly cooked, when it costs nearly $5 to
get a burger, fries and a shake at any of the fast food joints.  I don't
get it.

A good cook can do miracles with not much money, and we aren't after making
a profit on feast (why is that, by the way?  what's wrong with small
profits invested in building a collection of serving plates, utensils,
etc?  But that's another question...).

Still, I think that if people attending feast were open to pay a little bit
more, the quality of feasts in general would have a chance to grow tenfolds.
