[Sca-cooks] Honey butter query

I'm working on a review of the Savelli book (on Anglo-Saxon cooking),
and before making a very strong statement on the nonexistence of
evidence for honey-butter as a spread, I wanted to check here to see
if there was anything I had missed. I know about Anthimus, who
describes a medicinal use. That aside, is there any period reference
that anyone here knows of to using honey butter as a spread?
