Here is a bad picture of some;

Basically, they are hard boiled eggs that are peeled and pinched while hot
to make dimples in the eggs, top and bottom, then glazed with yellow and
then red food colouring, cloves at top and bottom, add a rose leaf and
WHALA!  It's an apple egg!  Looks like a cute little fruit, but it's not!
