add a cotton swatch soaked with the european rosewater [the stronger type]to
a jar of sugar by laying it on the top so that the scent of the rose oils
will stay trapped in the jar. Shake it periodically over the next month or
so and fish out the piece of cotton when you need to use it?

Just a WAG [wild @ss guess] on substituting for real rose petals;-)
